The Statistisches Bundesamt includes four digits for "Verband" before the three digits for "Gemeinde".[1] Is there a reason these are omitted in this list? 12586391a (talk) 10:32, 2 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
That's a nice page you found there. Normally, the 8-digit number is used, see for instance https://www.statistikportal.de/de/produkte/gemeindeverzeichnis . These numbers are already unique, the 4 extra digits for the Verband are only there to show which Verband a Gemeinde belongs to. MarkussepTalk 06:43, 3 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
